“TESN” — a zip-up cardigan that keeps its look but has been reworked inside.
The appearance carries over from 25FW, while the construction, fit, and silhouette have been redesigned. The aim: to sit cleanly as a layer under outerwear. It does not bunch under a coat or blouson, and the sleeves never feel too long. The fabric is the same as WEST — a high-wool-content knit that combines warmth with the lightness of a jersey.
A collarless V-neck zip-up; the open neckline makes it easy to layer over a shirt or turtleneck. Like WEST, it is reversible, with a different color on each side. For 26FW, one color has been swapped.
Slip one under your outerwear and you will feel the difference — a piece that supports your autumn/winter wardrobe.
MADE IN JAPAN
Every piece is sewn one at a time at a factory in Gifu, using fabrics carefully selected in Japan.
Gifu is one of Japan’s foremost garment-making regions and has long supported the country’s apparel industry. The skill built up there shows most in the places the wearer rarely sees — in how the seam allowances are finished, and in how the stitching is adjusted to the character of each fabric.
Even with the same pattern and the same fabric, the silhouette changes depending on who sews it. That is why we continue to make our clothes in Japan.
The difference is less obvious the moment you first put it on than after many washes and years of wear — that is when it becomes unmistakable.
