“WEST” — a reversible cut-and-sewn zip-up, reissued from a 24FW model.
Made from a fabric knitted with a high proportion of wool. It combines the warmth of wool with the lightness of a jersey, giving you warmth without the weight of a heavy knit. Nylon in the blend adds easy care and durability.
Its defining feature is that it is reversible, with a different color on each side. The two colors are close in tone, so turning it inside out does not upset the look of your outfit. A simple stand-collar zip-up — adjust the zip to change the look at the neck. For 26FW, one color has been changed for an even easier palette to wear.
Wear it as a top on its own, or as a layer under a coat or blouson.
MADE IN JAPAN
Every piece is sewn one at a time at a factory in Gifu, using fabrics carefully selected in Japan.
Gifu is one of Japan’s foremost garment-making regions and has long supported the country’s apparel industry. The skill built up there shows most in the places the wearer rarely sees — in how the seam allowances are finished, and in how the stitching is adjusted to the character of each fabric.
Even with the same pattern and the same fabric, the silhouette changes depending on who sews it. That is why we continue to make our clothes in Japan.
The difference is less obvious the moment you first put it on than after many washes and years of wear — that is when it becomes unmistakable.
